Once again, I assembled my crack family test team to evaluate this toy, the "Fisher-Price Rev'n Go Garage". The testers are a seven year old boy, a five year old girl, and a three year old boy. Below are "our" thoughts for this toy.

The toy is simple to assemble ... load a battery, insert a handle, and snap two pieces of track to the base of the toy. And putting on the stickers wasn't too bad. I hate putting stickers on, but I think that's a function of my slowly stiffening fingers and diminishing eyesight. :-) To operate the toy, you back the two provided cars onto the base, pump up the handle five to ten times to "power up the toy, and press a yellow arrow to launch the cars. The toy combines the launcher with a garage with two make-believe hoses (gas and air) and a station to pretend to change tires. There reason for the battery is that the toy makes realistic sound effects when you do such things as launch the cars or press a button when pretending to change... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun for a little while, October 25, 2012

This is a very cute toy...it is made well and the cars are the perfect size for little hands to carry...I love that they aren't too small... little cars tend to get misplaced or lost forever in my house. As other reviewers have said, this is a fun toy but after 20-30 minutes kids lose interest. Mine did too. They did keep coming back to it throughout the day. I have to say, my kids (and most that I know) lose interest in most toys after 20 minutes...the key is if they come back to try again ...and again...and again. Mine did with this toy. My 3 year old especially loved it! I would recommend this to anyone with a child that loves cars and things that go!

I will admit a moment of panic when I opened this and two sheets of stickers fell out. Thankfully one was extra and there weren't that many to put on. I'm not the biggest fan of having to figure out how a toy is supposed to be decorated with tiny stickers. A few of the ones for this are in places that my hands had a hard time getting to. I just put them as best as possible and told my 5 year old son to just be happy they were on! One is up under the "roof" and my fingers just didn't want to get there!

Other than that, getting the parts out of the box and together was a snap! There weren't a lot of twisty things or latches or tape or any of those things that make you wonder why you wanted to buy that toy in the first place! It literally took about a minute to put it together (not including sticker time). The ramps just slip into place and are removable, which will be good for when it's time to store this on a shelf.

There are a couple of buttons to push for the... Read more
