This tablet is awesome. The only reason why I deducted 1 star is because it DOES NOT HAVE HDMI port. I did receive a new product, no scratches on screen or device.
The Android 4.0 is really cool! I installed a few apps and they all work great. Added extra memory with a mini SD card. I had a few movies in MP4 format in the memory card and plays great on device. I didn't order the cover but ordered the yoomee amazon kindle fire leather case/stand and it fits perfectly.
Upon booting up, the brand name says "Tursion" in case someone wants to research the brand more.
I've only had it a few days and I'll update if I become dissatisfied.

The tablet arrived 3 days before expected. I bought it for my 10 year old daughter, and she will not put it down. It's a great product for an excellent price. (Of course now, my 6 year old daughter wants one too...) They take pics, google talk with family that live out of state, listen to music, and even check the weather daily! It's a great way to expand their minds.

So, I did not see anything about this item being refurbished but when I opened the day I received it the screen is a little scratched up and it has definitely been used. I will post a more descriptive review when I have fully investigated the issue.
The listing does say new and the company claims it was a new tablet but even a refurbished item would not have had scuffs on the screen. Exactly one week after receiving the item one of the pixels in the middle of the screen started going out so I put in for a return, I actually got my money back quite quickly... well most of it. Tablet Express has a 20% restocking fee for electronics that have no defects and even though the tablet had a bad pixel and scuffs on the screen somehow they still were able to keep some of the money. Anyway, while it worked it was fast and fun to play with, I would not say that the item itself was bad just bad luck and even worse luck with the company.
