I initially got this because the purple looked amazingly awesome! Though, I did have a legitimate reason to get it (needed a new external for college use). Actual items doesn't exactly always look as sexy as it's company product photography so I was expecting a slight let down when I receive it. But I was glad to be wrong! It looked just as sexy and alluring as it does in the photo and it does an amazing job keeping my files and not corrupting (as I've learned the hard way with other EHD) for a 1 TB. It works perfectly with my iMac and Macbook Pro. It was nice to see it came with a free case though I kinda wish it could show off the HD better instead of hiding that satin, fingerprints-free, quiet, and fast External Portable Hard Drive!
