5.0 out of 5 stars Great inexpensive 3D player, May 2, 2012
This review is from: Vizio VBR337 3D Blu-Ray Player with Wireless Internet Application (Electronics)
Purchased a VBR334 but was out of stock so the seller sent us a VBR337 replacement for less money. Very happy with this unit. Crisper, sharper, 3D graphics with its 1080P high definition, built in wireless N, and handy controller with keyboard. The keyboard is on the back side. Vizio could have put a sliding cover over it but once I learned to keep my fingers away from the keyboard, it's not a problem. I also purchased the Vizio M3D550SR 55" Razor LED 3D TV and the Vizio sound bar. What a combination for minimal money. The 3D picture depth makes you feel like your in the action. With a 240Hz refresh rate, there's no problems with blurring or fast motion. We highly recommend Vizio. They have come a long way in providing quality passive 3D at a affordable price and the glasses are the same as in the movie theater.

Out of the box the player and remote look nice and are easy to setup.

However, I soon discovered that the player lacked half of the internet apps that it was advertised to come with. Amazon's software looks extremely outdated in comparison to the Roku, while Hulu is an exact match. I tried to update the software (dated from february 2011) following the instructions in the manual but they were incorrect. The player also did not update automatically over night.

Menu functions are responsive (like the Roku) and playback has been reliable and fast (like the Roku).

So far I've only tried one blu-ray disc (True Blood) and it worked. Loading seemed quite slow though in comparison to previous experiences with the PS3 and other blu-ray discs (obviously not a scientific comparison).

The remote is fine. The buttons are somewhat stiff but its workable. The QWERTY on the back is useful during setup and for search.

For now I'm giving the player... Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars Problems after a month, September 13, 2012

We bought this DVD player one month ago and now it has issues ejecting the DVDs. They get stuck inside and it is an ordeal to try to get them out.

The other annoying thing is that the remote is very hard to use. The buttons are hard to push and you have to be in direct line of the player for it to work properly. It drives me crazy !!!!!!!

Other than these issues, everything else worked, Netflix streamed fine and the blue ray part was nice, but if I can't get my movie out of the DVD, the blueray part is kinda overlooked.
